The Devil's Blood: the decision to split 'was as sudden as it was final'
Dutch occult rock act The Devil's Blood has officially canceled its appearance at the 2013 edition of the Roadburn festival, set to take place April 18-21 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland. Said the band in a statement: "The Devil's Blood has come to an end. This decision was as sudden as it was final. We had no choice but to abide by that same urgent call which told us six years ago to start what we have now finished.
"We would like to thank Walter Hoeijmakers and the rest of the Roadburn organisation for their undying support and understanding. We shall never forget!"
The Devil'S Blood's latest full-length album, "The Thousandfold Epicentre", was made available in North America on January 17, 2012. The 11-song Cd was produced with the help of Pieter Kloos at Void Studios in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Originally released in Europe in November 2011 through V�N Records, "The Thousandfold Epicentre" landed on the Dutch album chart at position No. 76.
