Tom Araya's brother: I would never disrespect Slayer
THINE EYES BLEED bassist John Araya (band photo), brother of SLAYER's Tom Araya, has posted a follow-up message in the "Forum" section of THINE EYES BLEED's web site regarding his previous claim that Tom wouldn't "put his foot down" for John's band and help them out by taking them out on the road.
In a posting dripping with sarcasm, the younger Araya writes, "Well... it's official. I am a whiney bitch. All I want is handouts. Yes, working with several bands over the years as a guitar tech and earning my own living made me this way. Give me everything served on a platter. The 20 years I have been on the road has taught me nothing about relying on myself. We got our record deal 'cause I threw a tantrum and kept repeating 'Don't you know whom I am related to?'
"If you know me personally...then you know that I love my family. Never in a million years would I expect anyone to do anything for me or would I disrespect SLAYER. I love SLAYER, their music and them as people. I love music.
"I wonder if Spider from POWERMAN 5000 wants to start a band?"
As previously reported, THINE EYES BLEED recently inked a multi-album deal with The End Records. The group's debut album "In The Wake Of Separation", is scheduled for an April 26 release. An MP3 of the track "Cold Victim" can be downloaded at this location.
