Anger Alliance - Demo
The band Anger Alliance recently recorded this demo in order to get some shows around the area. After a while they also decided to send some copies to the press, which is always a smart move. This copy was actually handed to me by the dude in the local record store, with the question if I could review it. No problem, I said!
Anger Alliance creates music with the boundaries of hardcore and metal (but can probably be called metalcore). Some stuff sounds like old school hardcore, whilst they’re also very capable of turning things up a notch and throw in a thrash metal part or even a blastbeat. I can even detect some nu-metal influences here and there.
The three songs sounds quite nice, disregarding the recording quality of course. Originality isn’t in abundance on the demo, but in this genre that’s quite difficult to obtain. Nice riffs, aggressive drumming and a good scream is what Anger Alliance offers us, and frankly it has made me curious about their live performance. Their drive is quite catchy and I want to find out if this feeling remains the same in a live environment. Considering that they’re from around here, I’ll probably catch them somewhere soon. Perhaps I’ll even play with them!
