Hyems - Antinomie
Hyems, a band originally named Hiems, but which changed their band name to take distance from another band called Hiems. After releasing 2 demos they now recorded their first full-length album Antinomie.
Hyems was founded in Germany in the mid nineties and released, as I said above, 2 demos. In May 2007 they got themselves a deal with Restrain Records. And here it is, Antinomie, an album with some hatefull black metal.
When I started listening it sounded quite okay. The production isn't bad, and the first songs were not bad at all. But after hearing all the songs I had to conclude the band misses some inspiration and variation. Of course there are some very nice parts on this record, but the complete album offers me too little to make it a great record. Especially the vocals always sound the same. When I started listening I liked the vocals, but after 3 or 4 songs I whished he would shut up now and then.
I really think this band has potential, because they really show they can play very well. They just need to focus more on the compositions in my opinion.
