Sometimes here at Metalrage we receive something that at first may seem a bit odd, like Chip Hannah for instance. Another band like this is Flogging Molly. Their latest album, Float, stood there between mathcore, metal, thrash and what not! Since I secretly like this band (especially 'If I Ever Leave This World' is a great song) I was happy and slipped my name as someone who would like to review this.

Formed in 1997 in the city of angels, Flogging Molly is best known for their happy party music, but don't get fooled. They make some beautiful melodic music aswell. On Float this is the title track and 'The Story So Far'. For the better, harder party stuff they start off right away wth 'Reqiem For A Dying Song' and keep that going as well! My personal favourite is 'You Won't Make A Fool Out Of Me'. This is just one of those albums you put on, and just can't turn off! It will give you some good lyrics (like the title track), but also instant happiness!

Float is one of the better, completer albums I have heard in a while. It has little or no weaknesses. All there is left for me to do, is wait untill they're nearby, because I can't wait to hear these songs live. Be sure to check 'em out when they're nearby!
