Destiny - The Tracy Chapter

In the end of 1997 five young kids decided to start a band called DESTINY. The next four years were used to get experiences in writing songs, playing shows, touring foreign countries and recording demos.
There were also a lot of line-up changes in that time, so that the current line-up wasn't found until May 2001. In the following summer Destiny went on their first European tour for nearly five weeks, through which they got a lot more attention in Europe.

The Tracy Chapter is a really cool album with a lot of aggression in it and is technical very good with a solid style. The voice of Johannes is very loud with a lot of power in it and sometimes some desperate screams in some passages, which sound excellent by the way.
For the musical part of the album, this is fast with also a lot of power and feeling in it.
The album contains a few obvious influences; hardcore, really fast drums and loud guitar parts, and on the other hand some New-metal influences.

Forsaken Love: A typical hardcore influenced song just how I like it, fast drums with a loud guitar riff. This song doesn't have lots of the melodic parts in but the vocal on thee other hand are screams and grunts but you can hear that the singer put all of his emotion in the song.

Passing Moments: This is a song with the New-metal influences, some parts of the vocals but more the sometimes-melodic parts of the song. The guitar riffs remind me of some New-metal bands but together with the grunts and some melodic vocals also this song is a feast to listen to.

My opinion of the album is that it is a great produced album from a band who is going to make it if you ask me, I'll be waiting for the next one!!!!
