The Australian band/project The Amenta unleash upon the world their second full length entitled n0n, which is again filled with industrial death metal. Again released by Listenable Records, this record is here for the most progressive of death metal heads. Let’s put it to the test!

 

The Amenta profile themselves as a band that is redefining extreme metal music, which I guess is partially true. n0n packs a ferociously intense sound filled with brutal extreme death metal and layer upon layer of electronic and industrial sounds. Especially the use of white noise is something that really appeals to me in this band. I guess you could compare The Amenta a bit to bands like Fear Factory and Strapping Young Lad, only a tad more extreme.

 

Each song is supposed to contain over a hundred recorded tracks, so you’ll be busy with deciphering this record for a pretty long time. The fact that there are six recorded vocalists adds to the dynamics even more. I know for sure that I will play this record many times to come, and I’m very curious to their live performance. Luckily they have a European tour planned already, so I’m bound to find out. Progressive metal heads with a love for extreme stuff should definitely check these guys out asap.
