El Shit - El Shit
Another Powerfull dutch release to review: From the northern parts of Holanda, here are El Shit! El Shit play metal that will be apreciated by those who love total choas in their cd player. Music like Meshuggah, Dillenger Escape Plan, Deftones... Riffs and drumparts that will fuck your head up, make you nod your head in delight and give your mother a headache.
El Shit took their time to have a seat on the recording toilet and creatively shitted out this impressive new Cd. It contains 5 tracks, two of them are quite long (No Name' and 'Again').
The shorter songs remind me of a mixture of good 'ol numetal like Coal Chamber and KoRn, while the two longer tracks recall names like Tool and Meshuggah. The variation is quite good, hard and rough parts are exchanged for cool spacy somewhat trippy soundscapes, to be burst back into the hard stuff with the Meshuggah type riff.
The only thing I can remark as far as negative comment is concerned is the fact that El Shit seems to lack real songs. The band lives and thrives on power and effort, and a once again totally fucking great productive sound!
Quite a descent numetal release from the cold North of the Netherlands, El Shit will be part of the big festivals and tours one day. Best Demo I've heard so far from a dutch band. Something to keep your ears open for!
