Agresion - Cultura 3
Agresion is a very strange band in terms of Line up. 2 Venezual boys, who already where in a band, decided that they wanted to go to The Netherlands, and formed a band there. A dutch bass player and drummer joined soon after and Agresion, which wasn't complete, was completed now. With musical influences in Nu-Metal, Hardcore and Hip-Hop they have a various list of songs. They shared the same venue's with bands like: Cypress Hill, Alien Ant Farm and Sepultura.
Forget is a song that kicks after an acoustic intro, while songs like Cultura 3 ( which is also one of the single's together with Stay) is a more open song for the mass. Fortunately most songs are nice and kicking. A song like Pull The Trigger has a long intro, but the when the instruments start there is an instant explosion. Stay is a song with a nice rythm and a fetching chorus. It's not suprising that this song deserves a videoclip. Mazinger Z is a more trashy song with great influences by bands like Soulfly and some Ill Nino.
My conclusion after 2 times listening is that Agresion certainly have progressed in these years ( that's why they have Re-Recorded their song That Day which also appeared on the Sur album) Because of the late review of this album, I knew the effects it had. Agresion was more populair as a live band and shows at Ozzfest and various clubs. With this album Agresion finally got the more approval it deserved, as when they released the album Sur they didn't have a wide public.
