So shortly after receiving two albums of Vinterriket, the German version of Striborg, another disc reached our office. This one is a compilation record, released through Bad Mood Man Music (from Russia). The joy.

Again another way too long disc with ambient minimal black metal. The only difference I notice is that the synths sound a little more folk than evil this time. But that could be just me. For the rest we still have the horrid drum computer sound which really makes this record a drag to listen to. The ambient parts are fairly nice, but those damn beats man, they ruin everything. 

Fans of minimal black metal, but with higher demands than the average Striborg fan, should check out Vinterriket. Don’t blame me if you don’t like it anyway.
