Like mentioned before, Architects and Zebrahead are two of the bands that top the bill on the Friday night of the festival. With the strong album Lost Forever // Lost Together, the guys of Architects are celebrating a beautiful, and during their show a probably powerful and energetic, 10 year anniversary. Zebrahead on the other hand is here just to party hard. With their catchy music they will sure get the audience bouncing up and down. But there is more this first day, for example The Black Dahlia Murder. Just dropping this name should be enough in my opinion. Thundering melodic death metal, but above all a great live band. But besides the renowned acts it’s always fun to discover something new and in that case I can recommend the White Russian Records showcase. In the name of this record label The Lowest Standard, Said And Done, Note To Amy and Screw Houston, Start Screaming will kick you in the face with some energetic punk rock and/or hardcore.
 

The Saturday will be headlined by hardcore giants Hatebreed and working-class folk punk heroes Dropkick Murphys. Both perfectly know how to entertain a crowd and do it both in an admirable way. But since you all probably already know them I will focus on some other acts. Like Letlive. for instance. Back in 2010 their second full-length, Fake History, made a lasting impression, at least it did on me. Powerful, catchy, emotional, passionate; the album incorporated every element a post-hardcore album should have. And on stage? They’ve toured two months with the Warped Tour and according to its visitors this is the best live act at the moment.
 

Another band definitely worth checking is the Welsh down tempo hardcore outfit Brutality Will Prevail. A month ago they released their new album Suspension Of Consciousness and this hard-hitting band with a “no-fuck-is-given”-approach will now present their new music with a new line-up to the audience on the European mainland. This rough diamond might become one of the unexpected highlights of the festival.
